Overview
Housatonic Valley Health District offers free blood pressure monitoring on a walk-in basis and also hosts monthly blood pressure clinics throughout the community. Our Community Health team, comprised of Registered Nurses, monitor blood pressure and provide information regarding blood pressure.
High blood pressure, also called hypertension, is a very prevalent condition that contributes to significant adverse health outcomes, including premature deaths, heart attacks, kidney disease, and stroke. Hypertension is referred to as “the silent killer” since it does not usually present symptoms.
