Breast Health During Your Golden Years

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Join Drs. Carinne Anderson and Caterina Aiello on October 10th from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Southbury Senior Center.

Description: Nuvance Health Drs. Anderson and Aiello will discuss breast cancer screening guidelines and recommendations for women over 70.

Carinne Anderson, MD, FACS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained breast surgeon. She specializes in breast surgical oncology, treating patients with breast cancer as well as benign breast disease. She has a special interest in taking care of high-risk patients, patients with BRCA mutations, and patients with other genetic predispositions for breast cancer.

Dr. Caterina Aiello is a breast surgical oncology fellow at Nuvance Health. She completed her general surgery residency at Nuvance Health. Before this, she attended medical school at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine. She earned a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Fairfield University, majoring in biology and pre-med and minoring in Italian and French.
